our PASTOR
Nick
Kimpinski
Transitional Lead Pastor
I was born and raised in central British Columbia to first generation Christian parents. I am the third of four children. Through the example of my parents, I learned the significance of regular church attendance, participation in church activities, baptism, and the spiritual disciplines of giving, fasting, praying, evangelism,
and more. I love the Word of God, and consider myself to be a student of the Bible.
I first came to understand what Jesus did for me in the summer of 1974. Even as a young child, I understood that I was a sinner and that Jesus, the Son of God, was willing to pay the penalty for my sins, through His death on a cross. With the help of my mother, I gave Jesus ownership of my life. I accepted His offer of salvation and I began to follow His directions in my life. I was obedient to His command to be baptised when I was 11
years old.
I attended Trinity Western University as well as Okanagan Bible College. I married my wife Elaine in 1991 and then I finished my BA in Biblical Studies at Providence College in 1994. I went on to seminary and graduated in 1999 with an MDiv. Degree. Since then, I have pastored 4 churches and preached sermons in many others.
We have 4 sons, 1 daughter in-law, 2 grandchildren, and we actively foster children as well.
Paul
Cochrane
Pastor of Discipleship and Next Generation
Paul Cochrane is the Pastor of Discipleship & Next Generation at Restoration House. Paul was born in Vanderhoof, BC into a Christian family. In 1999, Paul’s family moved to Swift Current, SK, which is mostly where he has lived since. Wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps of becoming a Pastor, and having a God-given desire to work in ministry, Paul went to Millar College of the Bible in Pambrun, SK, where he graduated in 2014 with his Bachelors of Biblical Studies.
Since Paul was a teenager, he has had a desire to work in Ministry in any way, shape, or form the Lord would have. He was raised as an Evangelical Christian belonging to the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada. This is Paul’s first experience in the Pastoral Ministry and he is very excited to see how God will work through him and the church!
His ministry at Restoration House involves working with the Youth and Young Adults in the congregation, holding events, Bible studies, and more. As well as organising the church’s Discipleship Groups and building up and training leaders within those groups.
When not at the church or church-related events, you will find Paul spending time with friends and/or family, playing board games, or relaxing at home and enjoying life.
