Our deacons
Chairman
Hello I’m Jared. My parents have brought me to church since I was born and instilled a love for God in me.
They made sure I knew from a young age that God provides for us even if it’s not in the way we think we need to be provided for, sometimes.
I never had a big moment where I changed my life around, but I have had many small moments that draw me closer to God. I have been blessed with an amazing wife who loves God and encourages me through life, and I’ve been surrounded by amazing Christian friends and pastors who mentor me in my walk with God.
The last few years of drought on our farm have really shown me that I am not in control and that God will provide and take care of his children.
Benevolence
I was raised in a Christian home. At the age of 7, with my mom, I asked Jesus into my heart to be my Lord and Saviour. I did struggle in my younger years, but in my twenties I rededicated my life to the Lord and I was baptised in 1988.
I am married to a wonderful woman and we have two children who are both baptised and involved in their local churches.

My name is David Potter. I've lived in Swift Current for about 35 years cumulatively with about 10 years spent in Calgary and the first couple of years of my life living at a farm north of Success and in the hospital due to my asthma that I've had since pretty much day one of my life. Speaking of my life, I haven't really had a "traditional" Christian life. I came from a home that believed in God along with heaven and hell but not much more.
I spent most of the first 30-ish years of my life feeling like something was missing but living what I felt was a happy, normal life. It wasn't until I met what would eventually be a close personal friend through work that I started to question things. He was a very logical person, as I am, and never pushed Jesus on me; he just kind of let me take my own meandering path. For me, the path was filled mostly with fact-finding and trying to prove that the Bible was just a book of fiction made up by some unknown author who had a good grasp of history.
But as I continued to search the scriptures and cross verify it with other historical records, I eventually had no option but to believe that the Bible really is the inerrant word of God. And if the Bible is wholly 100% truth, then I have no choice but to believe that God is real and that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. I didn't really come to this conclusion until I was around 32.

In 2009 I married my beautiful, God-fearing wife, and we have two wonderful children who show a great love of Jesus. I have worked in Technology and Information Systems for over 5 years primarily working with phones, security cameras, and electronic door controls plus whatever technology related stuff that gets thrown my way.
I started as a regular attender at Trailview for a couple of years and I've been at Restoration House since 2014.
Finances
I was born in a Christian home and grew up in the church. I can’t really say the exact moment I committed my life to Jesus as I have always had faith in Him for the forgiveness of my sins.
I have slowly been growing in Godly maturity and have taken some of the biggest steps in the last few years. As a kid, I went to Chortitz church with my parents and one brother and later went to Trailview. I have been attending Restoration House since 2014.
God has given me a love for people and I wish to serve the body of Christ as best I can. I will rely on God and His wisdom to do so as I am an imperfect person.
Building
I grew up on a farm in a Christian home with my brother and sister. My mom led me to the Lord when I was 7 or 8 years old. I got baptised at Wadena Baptist Church where I attended until I moved away after high school.
Right out of school I went to Millar College of the Bible for one year. I met my wife there and we settled down in
Swift Current. We have been married for 18 years and have two girls. We have attended Restoration House from the very beginning and have enjoyed being a part of the church family.
