As a young man, Emmanuel Amoako Appiah’s career dream was to become a mining engineer, but he listened to God’s call on his life to rather become a soul engineer, by His grace. With this call, (through preaching and teaching the Word of God), Emmanuel’s heartbeat is to share with unbelievers the Good News of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to encourage believers to grow in their faith in Christ. Emmanuel serves Jesus Christ with Restoration House as Pastor in charge of Family Care and Assimilation. Emmanuel has extensive experience in planting churches, church growth, and pastoral care. Emmanuel goes to the Swift Current Mall on Mondays and Fridays to pray for people and offers free counseling as well.
Emmanuel currently lives in Swift Current with his family – his wife, Bertha, a talented seamstress, and their two children, Kathleen and Emmanuel (Jr.) He was born and bred in Ghana in West Africa. Emmanuel moved to Canada about twenty years ago to further his knowledge in the Christian ministry. While in Ghana he served Christ with the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in varied capacities and also used his God-given gifts to help other churches in planting congregations and church growth.
Emmanuel is the founder and President of The Shepherd’s Christian Centre for Spiritual Renewal Inc., a registered charitable Canadian Christian organization, which exist to establish a study centre for biblical reference and research, aimed at enhancing lifelong learning among pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and other church workers in Ghana.Emmanuel has a long-term goal of returning to Ghana, God willing, to continue his ministry there.
